Estefania Miranda, who as curator and head of production, gives the dance at the DNT Weimar, a new face and makes it reemerge in a new format, conceived the “International Dance Festival Weimar”.

During the summer, nine days long, everything at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar is about the passion, power and poetics of dance: international productions, including German premieres, workshops, films, talks, an exhibition and parties, invite all dance enthusiasts and those who want to be one, to embark on an exciting journey of discovery into the world of contemporary dance.

Common to all works, is the individual artist's signature, great dancing, choreographic skills and the taking of risks. 

The series "Emerging Choreographer" presents promising young choreographers. Accompanying programs offer more information about the working method of the selected choreographers.
