The choreographer and dancer Daniel Abreu provides in this workshop insights into the rehearsal process of his work Animal. After a warm-up, simple dance sequences of the piece as well as improvisations will be done. It's not about the perfect copying predefined sequences of movement, but about the individual execution in the context of individual possibilities.

Daniel Abreu is in 2012 "Emerging Choreographer" of the 2nd International Dance Festival Weimar. He has received numerous awards for his work and his company created over thirty pieces that went around the world on tour.

This workshop is suitable for people with a background in dance in different dance styles and it will be held in English. 

Tango

This intensive workshop will introduce the basics of the Argentine Tango. In addition to learning simple figures, it is also about working on axis, attitude and rhythm. Always with the individual's sense of the dancers and the experience of self-associating with the partner, in the foreground.

The Argentine Carlos Tapia was perfecting his dance style among others with, Victoria Colosio, Julio Balmaceda, Jesus Pietro Paulo and Carlos Gavito and trained as a dance therapist. Together with his dance partner Brigitte Backhaus he gives the tango a modern, creative direction, without denying its roots and classical forms.

Children's Workshop / Snow White for schools

From the fairy tale to dance. Building on the interactive dance fairy tale Snow White, the workshop deals with the implementation of characters and stories in dance movements. Besides the playful exchange of basics dance motifs and characters from the fairy tale, simple step combinations will be learned. It is about the joy of dancing and moving. 

Pirvu Tudor was born in Bucharest and completed training as a dancer and choreographer at the State Ballet School there.He was dancer at Görlitz Theater and the Deutsches Nationaltheatre Weimar. He is inter alia working as a dance teacher and choreographer.
